Ocean inspired mini sculpture workshop

Service Description

For the first time in over two years, my home studio will be open for an exclusive, intimate workshop for 5 people. This workshop will take you on a short walk to the Gerroa Headland to collect inspiration from nature. After our walk, we'll return to the studio to begin our mini sculpture workshop. I'll guide you through the steps to creating a stable base for your sculpture and how to apply textures, depth and interest to your sculpture. I'll share how I absorb the sights, sounds and smell of the ocean and bring it through my work. I call this practice 'mindful making moments', where presence and stillness of mind enable creativity to be in flow. We'll share a cuppa and a delicious morning tea on our front veranda taking in the view. Each person will create their own unique, organic porcelain sculpture which will be raw fired (example will be shown during the workshop) to 1220 degrees and available for collection 3 weeks after your workshop. No previous pottery experience is required for this workshop. *please note gold lustre shown in some of the sample pictures is not included as part of this workshop

Cancellation Policy

You must cancel or amend your booking if you or anyone in your group are unwell, have symptoms such as cough, fever or shortness of breath. You must cancel or amend your booking if you or any member of your group have come into close contact with anyone who has or is suspected of having COVID-19, or have been to any identified 'hot spots' in the 14 days prior to your session. The studio reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone who displays signs of being unwell, intoxicated or unacceptable behaviour. When in the studio all participants must adhere to Covid Safe requirements, including Service NSW QR Code registration, physical distancing, using hand sanitiser and masks when 1.5 metre distancing is not possible. No tools will be shared. Booked sessions can only be rescheduled or cancelled due to extenuating circumstances. Payments for cancelled sessions are non-refundable but may be transferable to another service/product with sufficient notice.
